Dream Theory Officially Launches April 30, 2025
Surreal image of a city with a large mechanical watchface hovering behind it and an airship flying across. Also, there's two birds.

The year in the post title might be overkill, but I digress.

Dream Theory, this very site and flagship online publication for Dream Theory Media, launches on April 30. We can't wait to share the work of some crazy talented authors and artists with whom we have been working with.

Dream Theory was always envisioned as a showcase for creativity in various media. Our initial offerings come in the form of poetry, essays, art and prose fiction.

The plan, at least in the beginning, is to have a few ongoing regular features published side-by-side with short stories (right now, in the form of flash fiction) and occasionally poetry.

Some of our upcoming writers include Ali Trotta, Mags L. Halliday, Robert Jeschonek, Dale Smith, and more. Our Authors page will offer more of a sneak peak of who's to come.

Our initial ongoing regular features include:

A Personal History of Horror Movies in 101 Quirky Objects by Vince Stadon

A weekly series of essays from author and playwright Vince Stadon (Counting Draculas, Hounded!) covering - as you can guess - over 100 films through a unique lens in every entry. Vince brings his usual mix of snappy prose and wit to this project and we've loved what we've been reading. We know you will too.

ART of the Solar System by Cody Schell

A monthly series featuring a unique blend of collage, art, photography and narrative with a sci-fi bent.

Each of these features will get an introductory post in the weeks leading up to launch. We also have a couple of more features in development, but will talk about them at a later time.

Flash Fiction

As mentioned earlier, the other main feature of the site will be its flash fiction, coming from a talented mix of authors with stories weighing in at 1,000 words or less. We have a variety of genres covered and blended - science fiction, fantasy, horror and more (and in some interesting formats!).

Did we mention Poetry?

Ali Trotta kicks us off on April 30 with her poem "Rhiannon Remembers Her Own Name ".

See you then!
